We go above and beyond to help provide a foundation that will allow our residents to focus on aspects of their life that will help them improve and move forward.

Our Affordable Living homes are an all-inclusive independent co-living environment. We provide safe, comfortable, clean, substance abuse free homes for adults in all demographics who may be in need of housing. Whether the arrangement is transitional or permanent, we want to offer a transition out of hardship.
Our mission is to provide safe and affordable housing for the most vulnerable and/or impacted communities in the greater Metro Detroit area. Our target populations include: Veteran’s, Fixed Income Recipients, Housing Insecure Male and Female Adults. We accept persons with Medicaid/Medicare or other third party pays, as well as private pay on a case by case basis.

House Manager
Our House Managers are typically a resident that has proven to be responsible, ethical, and a leader in the home. They are appointed by Slim Haven staff and may receive discounted rent and/or a private room when available in exchange for being head of household. They are required to attain a Michigan Food Handlers Certificate. We provide the training and certification.
House Cleaning
Our Affordable Living homes are independent co-living environments. Every person must contribute to daily cleaning chores. We provide deep cleaning services once a month. The House Manager typically lives in the home or on the property as a tenant and oversees the cleaning, cooking, and overall harmony in the household.
Rent and Fees
Rental amount is based on the neighborhood and costs associated with maintaining the property. Depending on the home, rent amount may be slightly more or slightly less per bed or room. We will do our best to make it work for your client.

*NOTE: Each home may cater to a particular demographic. For example, one of our homes may be specifically for veterans. We may also have homes available that are gender or age specific such as a co-living home for seniors, or women.
